Meet Dave and Rachel

Hey there — we're the Hollands. Rachel and Dave.

One of us keeps the books straight. The other makes sure people actually notice you exist online. Together we're kind of like your business's dream team, minus the price tag that comes with hiring an actual agency.

Rachel — the numbers person

Rachel's been doing bookkeeping for almost 20 years now, which honestly feels like a long time to say out loud. She started out in dental office management (SAIT grad, honors and everything), then somehow became the person every business owner wishes they'd hired sooner.

Here's the thing about Rachel: she doesn't just balance your books, she takes the stress off your plate. Most business owners didn't get into business because they love reconciling transactions.

Rachel handles the part that keeps everyone up at night so you can go back to actually running your company.

She's worked with tiny startups and companies that have been around forever, doing everything from payroll to year-end prep to chasing down subcontractors and accountants for the paperwork nobody wants to deal with. Along the way she's gotten really comfortable with QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, Payworks, SharePoint, and some of the more niche industry software like Cortex/Open Invoice and GEP Smart.

But ask her what actually matters and she'll tell you it's paying attention and talking to people like they're people.

Weirdly, she loves the detective work. Something's off by ten bucks, or ten thousand, and she won't stop until she finds it. There's a real satisfaction in taking a mess and making it make sense again.

People who work with her always say the same thing: she explains things without making you feel dumb. That's on purpose. She thinks finances get way more intimidating than they need to be, and her whole approach is built around making it simple enough that you can make a decision and move on with your day.

Dave — the marketing guy

Dave's spent years wrangling spreadsheets and social media accounts around Airdrie and Calgary, with the occasional trip further afield when a client calls for it.

If your business feels like it's stuck in "meh," Dave's the guy who nudges it toward "wait, who are these people?" better clients, a reputation people actually talk about, and a presence on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and Google that doesn't feel like an afterthought.

Part strategist, part hype man, occasionally your business's therapist.

He's been making content since before "content" was even a word people used like that, and he's managed to stay current without losing the old-school instincts.

Digital's the main game now, sure, but he still believes in a good handshake and an actual business card.

Here's the thing though: Dave's full-time available, and he genuinely believes most business owners are better off learning how to market their own business than handing it off to someone else forever.

Think of it less like "hire a stranger to run your Instagram" and more like "learn to fish, but with a really patient teacher who's already made all the mistakes for you."
