Clear those sidewalks clean and keep it pet friendly

Keeping your sidewalks clear of snow and ice is important. It keeps lawyers from your door. But it may keep more than that away!
SALT. Please buy pet-safe salt for the sidewalks in front of your business. Failing to buy a pet-safe brand can impact local consumers who walk their dogs past your front door.
Most deicers contain a type of salt, such as sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, or calcium chloride. Some may contain other types of chemicals, too.
Pet-safe deicers are salt free and therefore will not burn or damage paws.
This morning, I purposefully avoided walking past a few local businesses that use the wrong salt. They have lost my business.
That's avoidable!
